The amount of bed bug infestations has been on the rise in the past few recent years. The numbers or percentages where the bedbug infestations were by region are as follows: 17% of bed bugs of the United States were found in the Northeast; 20 percent of the infestations were in the Midwest region; 20% bedbug infestations were located in the South; and finally 19% of the national wide bedbug infestations were found in the west.
